The story has attracted attention because it touches on one of the most sensitive subjects surrounding the Sussex family: the position of Harry and Meghan’s children within the Royal Family. However, there is no credible evidence that Princess Anne has ordered any investigation into Archie or Lilibet’s parentage or bloodline, and no authenticated Palace document or notebook has been produced to support the claim.
Archie was born in May 2019, while Lilibet was born in June 2021. Both are publicly documented as the children of Prince Harry and Meghan. After King Charles III became monarch in September 2022, both children became entitled to use the titles Prince and Princess under the established rules governing the grandchildren of a sovereign.
